Prayer

I know that prayer is a powerful tool that the Lord has blest us with. It is an intimate way to communicate with Him. I believe in praying and I pray often for I know the Lord hears and answers our prayers. My children pray and have seen the results of the Lord hearing and answering prayers.

This is a prayer request within my blog post for my children and myself to all who read this blog and who pray and believe in the power of prayer.

My heart started jumping a while back. At times it also hurts. My family doctor had me wear a heart monitor back in August of this year, 2008. I recently got the results back when my doctor referred me to a heart specialist. My heart, it seems, beats an extra beat every few minutes which is not a problem in and of itself. Most people's heart beats extra times every so often. When I saw the specialist he did an EKG on me and it came back abnormal. He listened to my heart for a long time. He said I have an abnormal heartbeat and the EKG was abnormal. There are a lot of reasons that an EKG can come back abnormal, I know this. The specialist said he wants me to have a Nuclear Myoview stress test on Dec. 1 . I have to wear a heart monitor until Dec. 15 ,phone in the results, mail the monitor in . Then on Dec. 29 I go back to get the results of everything. My children are worried about me. I have explained to them that God is in control and that God has our best interest uppermost in His heart and mind. I ask that You please pray that the Lord brings my children, Zak and Elizabeth, peace in all of this. My children are blessings from the Lord and I thank God for them. I want them to trust in God completely and wholly. All things are done for a reason, I know this. I am trusting in God to work this for His glory. Pray that the Lord's will be done in this situation and for peace for my children. I thank you all for your prayers.

I wanted to end this post today with a few passages of scripture concerning faith, prayer, belief and being within God's will. Trusting in the Lord for He is my strong tower.

Matthew 17:20
20)
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Matthew 21:21-22
21) Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22) And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mark 11:24
24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Psalms 91:9-13
9)
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Psalms 91:1-4
1)
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
