It has been quite some time since my last post. I make no excuses as I have just not taken the time to post. I felt a strong call to make a post this evening after I got off work.
Christmas time is upon us. Not every one enjoys the Christmas or Holiday seasons due to loved ones who have passed on, are missing, or who choose not to be a part of one's life anymore. The Holiday Season is a sad time for many because of the loved ones they miss.
A lot of people do not celebrate Christmas for reasons of their own choosing, be it religious convictions, depression, sadness, melancholy, can not afford to, and many other reasons. We should not be upset with those who choose not to celebrate Christmas as they should not be upset with those of us who choose to celebrate Christmas.
Christmas has become commercialized. I think we all can see this. It is not about who can give or buy the most expensive gifts.It is not about gift giving, It is not about parties. It is not about who can decorate their homes with lights and baubles. Christmas is about us celebrating our Lord Jesus Christ's birth and remembering it. It is about knowing the reason He was born was so that we may have life through Him. That He came to fulfill the purpose He was chosen to fulfill. Without Jesus' birth and death none of us would be able to be forgiven of our sins, as He was and is the ultimate sacrifice. He was born to die. He died so that we may live.
Death is one thing we all are certain to face one day. Through Jesus, and our repenting humbly of our sins and His forgiving us of our sins, we can have eternal life. Our soul will live on throughout eternity either with Jesus, if we repent and are baptized, or in the lake of fire if we so choose not to seek the Lord's forgiveness. Everyone has a choice.
I think about all my loved ones so many times and pray for them. I pray they come to know the Lord as their personal Savior. I pray for their healing and safety. I pray they live a life pleasing and acceptable to the Lord.
God's written Word, The Holy Bible , tells us to pray one for another. Their is a reason for that. There is power in prayer.
James 5:16 King James Version
16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1 Timothy 2;1-2 King James Version
1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
This Holiday Season pray for your loved ones, your friends, and everyone. We all need prayer. while your standing in line at Walmart, instead of looking around at people and thinking thoughts in your head about them, how they are dressed or look, pray for them. Pray while standing in line at the post office or anywhere you may be pray. God hears our prayers and yes He does answer them. It may not be the answer you want but God knows what is best for all. He knows exactly what lies down the road ahead of each of us. He answers our prayers in the way He knows it will best help us, our loved ones, all, and serve Him.
May each of you have a Blessed Christmas. May each of you get to spend it with family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones. May God bless and keep each of you. I love you all. Blessed Christmas to all.
